I am committed to protecting and supporting the breastfeeding relationship between mother and baby through professional and compassionate care. My ultimate goal is to EDUCATE and EMPOWER a mother to be able to care for her breastfed baby with confidence and ease.
Educational and Professional Background:
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Humanities at the University of Louisville, majoring in Art History and English Literature, followed by a Masters in Educational and Counseling Psychology.
After the birth of my first son, I apprenticed and worked as a lactation assistant at Clark Memorial Hospital for seven years as I pursued the education and experience required to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I achieved that goal in 2009 and successfully re-certified in 2014.
